Titans was one of many TV shows impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Because of the ongoing pandemic, it’s uncertain when the series will resume production. However, this didn’t stop the show’s cast and crew from making an appearance at DC FanDome to tease the upcoming third season. And perhaps the biggest surprise was that Curran Walters’ Jason Todd will battle his former teammates as Red Hood when the series returns.
In the comics, Jason was famously murdered by the Joker, only to be resurrected in Ra’s al Ghul’s Lazarus Pit. Unfortunately, the process drastically affected his mental state, turning him into a violent anti-hero. Although the Joker played a major role in Jason’s rebirth as Red Hood, it seems likely that Titans’ producers are ruling out an appearance by the Clown Prince of Crime in favor of a more streamlined origin story. The last time we saw Jason on the series, he was riding off on his motorcycle after a falling out with his fellow heroes.

“I’m very excited, obviously,” said Walters. “I feel some pressure, but I’m ready to take it on 100%.”
Producer Greg Walker also revealed that Titans season 3 will introduce its own interpretations of two classic Batman characters: Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow and Barbara Gordon (now Gotham’s police commissioner). Plus, the team must also continue to deal with Kori’s sister, Blackfire, as played by Damaris Lewis.
Titans season 3 is still without a premiere date.
