Will Is Looking for His Father in His Dark Materials Season 2 Photos

As usual, the San Diego Comic-Con has brought a lot of news. Shortly after debuting the trailer for His Dark Materials Season 2, HBO has also dropped a brand new set of promotional photos from the upcoming sophomore season. The images feature a closer look at Dafne Keen’s Lyra and Amir Wilson’s Will, and some of the show’s protagonists. The second season will follow the adventures of Lyra together with Will in Cittàgazze, a city they have to pass through in their search for Lord Asriel, Lyra’s father, and Colonel John Parry, Will’s long-missing father, who will make his long-awaited debut in the upcoming season.

His Dark Materials cast sees Dafne Keen as Lyra Silvertongue (Logan), Amir Wilson as Will, as well as Ruth Wilson as Marisa Coulter and Lin-Manuel Miranda as Lee Scoresby.

HBO’s series is based on Philip Pullman’s eponymous novel series, part of which was transported to the big screen in The Golden Compass. Chris Weitz’s film, though, covered just Pullman’s first novel, also called Northern Lights. The upcoming His Dark Materials Season 2 will adapt “The Subtle Knife,” the second novel in Philip Pullman’s trilogy.

His Dark Materials Season 2 should debut on HBO this fall.
