The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted too many movies and TV shows to count. But thankfully, fate spared The Umbrella Academy, and the show’s second season will premiere at the end of this month. And for anyone who wants a refresher on the first season without having to re-watch the last 10 episodes, Netflix has you covered. The streaming service has just dropped a new video where members of the cast recap the story so far.
The video reunites four of the series’ core cast members: Cameron Britton (Hazel), Aidan Gallagher (Five), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), and Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison). Over the course of 11 minutes, the actors touch on various key plot points from the first season, starting with the 43 mysterious births that open the series’ pilot episode. They also give background info on each of the Hargreeves children and how well they get along with each other.

The new season of The Umbrella Academy picks up after the family is sent back in time to early ‘60s. Unfortunately, they’ve been scattered at different points between 1960 and 1963. Although some of the siblings have made the best of their new surroundings, others aren’t finding this so easy. To make matters worse, the family learns that they’re somehow tied to the impending assassination of President Kennedy. Plus they still have a nuclear apocalypse to prevent.
