DC Universe has debuted a brand new promo for the upcoming fifth episode of Doom Patrol Season 2. It seems that next week Negative Man will meet some members of his family thanks to Rita’s help. Recently, Doom Patrol showrunner Jeremy Carver teased that the new season of the show will dive into the past of the members of DC’s strangest group of heroes. Fans will get to know more about the life of Larry Trainor before he started his forced symbiosis with the negative energy being.
In the meantime, Dorothy will make her first friend in Baby Doll, but their attempt to become BFFs won’t go as planned.

Chris Dingess and Shoshana Sachi wrote the episode. The official synopsis of “Finger Patrol” reads:
“Dorothy finally finds a friend in Baby Doll – until playtime goes awry. Cliff discovers that Niles plans to give him human-like upgrades. Vic devises a plan to win Roni back. After Rita has a lousy audition, Larry brings her along to meet his family and learns more about the life he left behind.”
The series is written by Supernatural‘s Jeremy Carver and is executive produced by Greg Berlanti together with Geoff Johns, Jeremy Carver, and Sarah Schechter.
Doom Patrol Episode 2.05 will debut on DC Universe and HBO Max on Thursday, July 9.
