After announcing the season 2 premiere date with a fun video, Netflix is hyping The Umbrella Academy’s return with seven new character posters. The posters were also shared via the series’ official Twitter account. You can check them out for yourself in the gallery below.
Each of the posters features a member of the Hargreeves family with the top their faces obscured by an umbrella. There are new shots of Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Allison (Emily Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), The Boy (Aidan Gallagher), Ben (Justin H. Min,) and Vanya (Ellen Page). It would also appear that minimalism is the theme of The Umbrella Academy’s marketing campaign for season 2. Earlier this year, Netflix released another set of character posters that had a similar aesthetic. But those posters only revealed the characters’ eyes.

Unlike some other shows, The Umbrella Academy’s second season wasn’t delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. Showrunner Steve Blackman confirmed that the new episodes would arrive on time earlier this year with a post on Instagram. That image showed the behind-the-scenes team toiling away on post-production, presumably while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
The Umbrella Academy season 2 will hit Netflix on July 31.
