Rogue One’s Diego Luna Says Cassian Andor Series Will Film This Year

It won’t be too much longer before Cassian Andor suits up for his Rogue One prequel series on Disney+. During a recent stop on Entertainment Tonight to promote the second season of Narcos, actor Diego Luna provided an update for the show.

“Yes, we are doing it,” noted Luna about the still unnamed series. “We are doing it this year. It’s happening, and I’m getting ready for it.”

Luna didn’t provide any specifics about the story, since he knows “very little” about what’s set to happen. However, he did share his excitement about stepping back into the world of Star Wars.

“It is really cool to tell a story where you already know the ending,” said Luna.

“It is a different approach because of the beauty and it’s how things happen,” added Luna. “It’s not just what happens. It’s not the typical way of approaching a story. It’s about how things happen, which in fact, is the same that happened in Rogue One. You know the ending, but you don’t know how it happened, and we have that challenge in front of us again, which is exciting.”

Alongside Luna, Alan Tudyk will once again portray his robot ally, K-2SO. No other cast members have been confirmed.
