Game of Thrones’ Robert Aramayo Joins Lord of the Rings Series

Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series has found a new star to replace Will Poulter. Via DeadlineGame of Thrones veteran Robert Aramayo will be the new lead of the series. Poulter dropped out late last year over scheduling conflicts.

It’s believed that Aramayo will portray Beldor, the role that Poulter was previously lined up to play. However, neither Amazon nor Aramayo’s agents confirmed the report.

Aramayo previously appeared on Game of Thrones as young Ned Stark. He is also set to appear in The King’s Man, as well as Antebellum and The Empty Man.

Amazon has already ordered a second season of The Lord of the Rings. The series will also go on hiatus for several months after the first two episodes have been completed. This will allow the showrunners to plan season 2’s storylines as well.

The Lord of the Rings also features Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Maxim Baldry, Joseph Mawle and Morfydd Clark. For now, the series is still in pre-production.
