The Boys Deleted Scene Turns Homelander and the Seven Into Kuddle Buddies

Next Amazon’s adaptation of the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson The Boys was one of 2019’s breakout hits. Season two is set to debut sometime next summer, after filming completed last month. But while fans wait for the return of Billy Butcher and his crew, they can catch a glimpse of what could have been with collectible toys.

Amazon has released a new deleted scene on the official The Boys Instagram channel. In it, viewers are treated to cuddly versions of Homelander and the rest of the Seven. Initially introduced as the Junior Homelander Kuddle Buddy, there appear to be ones based on other members of the group. Apparently, the dolls can speak with the press of a button. Well, Homelander’s doll talks — the others don’t get a chance.

Of course, these toys also come with a slight disclaimer. “Batteries not included, each sold separately by Vought.”

Alas, these dolls don’t actually exist. While they would make for a good marketing tool, Amazon hasn’t opted to make them available for consumer purchase. In the meantime, there’s a lot to anticipate with the upcoming season. The first teaser dropped earlier this month, with Billy and company getting right back into the thick of things. It’ll be interesting to see where things pick up after the first season concluded.

The Boys’ second season will premiere in 2020 on Amazon Prime.
