Someday, we might see Maisie Williams reprise her role as Arya Stark. Despite the fact that HBO programming president Casey Bloys ruled out any direct spin-off from Game of Thrones, Williams has warmed up to the idea of playing Arya again. While speaking with Tings Magazine (via Canoe), Williams confessed that she misses playing Arya, and she would like to revisit her somewhere “down the road.”
“I can hand-over-my-heart say that I don’t think there’s going to be a spin off,” said Williams. “The show was only what it was because of David (Benioff) and Dan (Weiss), the show’s creators. They brought me into this world and it would be strange to do something without them. But I do think playing Arya again would be wonderful. I miss her a lot. I think the show needs to stew for a little bit, but maybe a ways down the road…?”

According to Williams, she’s not in a hurry to find her next job.
“Now that I’ve been given some time off, it’s not like I’m never going to act again, but I’m just trying to figure out some other things that I enjoy,” added Williams. “I don’t want to sign another 10-year contract for a while. A lot of TV is incredible right now, but those shooting schedules are just wild.”
Game of Thrones fans probably need a break too, just to get some distance from the series. But a future spinoff about Arya Stark’s adventures in the unexplored west sounds promising.
