Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey and More Join Netflix’s Dark Crystal Series

It seems that English actress Lena Headey has become fond of fantasy shows. According to a report by Deadline, Headey has now joined the voice cast for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The upcoming Netflix series will take place years before the original film by Jim Henson, and it will make its premiere on August 30, with ten episodes to tell its story.

Headey has been portraying Cersei Lannister in HBO’s epic drama Game of Thrones for nearly a decade, before her character met her fate in the penultimate episode of the last season. In The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Headey will find fellow Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel. The former Missandei will voice Deet, one of the main Gelfling protagonists of the story. Deet, together with Rian (Taron Egorton) and Brea (Anya Taylor-Joy), will inspire a rebellion against the Skeksis as soon as they discover a horrifying secret behind their power that threatens the world of Thra.
