New Batwoman Teaser Shows Kate Kane’s Rebellious Side

Following her debut in the Elseworlds crossover last year, Ruby Rose’s Batwoman is getting prepped to arrive in her own TV series. Following the debut of a full-length trailer last month, The CW has premiered a new teaser trailer. But rather than focus on the costumed alter ego, it instead concentrates on the rebellious – and human – side of Kate Kane.

The teaser provides a glimpse of Kate’s attitude as well as her feelings about any kind of authority. In the previous trailer, Kate made it pretty clear that she’s not a fan of rules. However, when Kate’s beloved Sophie Moore is kidnapped by criminals, she takes the law into her own hands. That makes her a more confident figure – and eventually transforms her into the Batwoman.

Batwoman also features Elizabeth Anweis as Catherine Hamilton-Kane, Kate’s stepmother and nemesis. Dougray Scott also stars as Kate’s father, Jacob Kane; while Nicole Kang plays Kate’s stepsister Mary Hamilton.

Rachel Skarsten co-stars on the series as Alice, Kate’s demented sister and her deadliest enemy. Fortunately, Kate does have some additional backup. Camrus Johnson is appearing as Luke Fox, the son of Bruce Wayne’s right-hand man, Lucius Fox. Luke inherited his father’s genius, and he’ll be providing tech for Kate in the series. In the comics, Luke goes on to become Batwing.

Batwoman will premiere this fall on The CW. You can catch the teaser below.
