By any measure, Fear the Walking Dead season 4 was hard on Alicia Clark. She lost her brother and her mother, and almost everyone she used to know is gone. The good news is that Alicia’s formed a new group with Morgan Jones, one of Rick Grimes’ former allies. Together, Alicia and Morgan are leading their group into new territory when Fear the Walking Dead returns this Sunday. And if the latest footage is any indication, Alicia is really stepping up her hero game.
AMC has released the first four minutes from Fear the Walking Dead season 5. In the clip, a teenager named Max teaches his younger brother, Dylan, how to shoot. The brothers have apparently been on their own for a while, and they’re about to be in way over their heads after witnessing something unusual. Fortunately for Dylan and Max, Alicia was nearby. And she makes a very good impression by showing off her fighting skills.

Here’s AMC’s official description for the season premiere: “Led by Morgan and Alicia, the group lands in uncharted territory in search of survivors to help – but everything is not as it seems in this foreboding new land.”
