New Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Trailer Teases ‘The Death of Everything’

Over a year ago, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wrapped up its fifth season and said goodbye to Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson. While Gregg has returned for the upcoming sixth season, Coulson is still quite dead. Now, Gregg is portraying the enigmatic Sarge, a man who looks just like Coulson. Except he may not even be human at all.

ABC has released a new trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which picks up with Mack still in charge as the new director. However, Sarge’s arrival puts the entire team in turmoil. Some of Coulson’s group appears to be having trouble with Sarge’s appearance. But it looks like Mack and May will have some face time with the deadly doppelganger.

Sarge and his group have come to Earth to hunt down specific people, who are possibly Inhumans. Additionally, the trailer predicts “the death of everything” as a cover of Linkin Park’s “In the End” plays in the background.

Who is Sarge? It wouldn’t be too surprising if he turned out to be a Skrull. Although his lack of knowledge about Coulson suggests that he wasn’t sent to infiltrate this Earth. Perhaps he’s not even from this Earth at all. Even in the TV side of the MCU, a visit from the multiverse or another world isn’t entirely out of the question.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6 will premiere on Friday, May 10. You can watch the teaser below, then share your thoughts in the comment section!
