It looks like the hunt for Cicada is going to placed on hold in The Flash, much like the series itself! The CW is benching the Scarlet Speedster for a few weeks. But in last night’s episode, Team Flash finally managed to hurt Cicada. It only took 53 tries, numerous broken timelines, and a few tragic deaths along the way. Nothing a little time travel can’t fix! But in The Flash episode 5.15 promo, the team has much bigger problems than Cicada.
As seen in the video below, King Shark and Gorilla Grodd are heading for a showdown in Central City. It’s unclear what will pit these monstrous creations against each other, but it’s going to be a battle like no other. Naturally, the Flash and his friends are going to try to limit the carnage. But that runs the risk of making King Shark and Grodd realize that they have a mutual enemy.

Nora hinted at this fight earlier this season. But the last time King Shark showed up on The Flash was shortly before Barry and Iris’ wedding. Prior to that, King Shark was a prisoner of ARGUS, and Lyla Diggle promised that her organization would study him and attempt to cure him. As for Grodd, he too was once a prisoner of ARGUS. Perhaps that’s where he first encountered King Shark. More recently, Grodd went up against the Legends when he was sent back in time. But he’s back in the present, and ready to make trouble again.
