Lady Sif was a notable absence in Thor: Ragnarok. Jaimie Alexander’s Blindspot schedule kept her from making a cameo appearance in the film. But it’s probably for the best, because she would have likely been killed off alongside the Warriors Three. Now, Lady Sif may have an opportunity to live on and have a few adventures of her own.
According to a report on Discussing Film, Marvel Studios is developing a Lady Sif TV series for the Disney+ streaming service. Kevin Feige is said to be producing the show, with Alexander potentially reprising her role as Sif. Alexander’s leading part in Blindspot may make that difficult, but not impossible, since the new project is described as a limited series. However, it’s unknown if the potential Lady Sif show would take place before or after Thor: Ragnarok.

Aside from appearing in the first two Thor films, Alexander also portrayed Sif in two episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before she landed a starring role in Blindspot. While Sif has primarily been a supporting character in the comics, she has headlined her own stories as well. Sif was also briefly featured as the lead of a Journey Into Mystery revival. That comic could potentially form the basis for her live-action series.
Disney+ is very aggressively moving forward with Marvel TV shows produced by Feige’s Marvel Studios. Tom Hiddleston is returning for the Loki miniseries. A Falcon and the Winter Soldier miniseries is also in works. Earlier this week, Vision and the Scarlet Witch landed Jac Schaeffer as the showrunner. Sif doesn’t have a massive fan following like those characters, but she would still be a welcome addition to the new Marvel television landscape.
