Psycho-Pirate Will Make His Arrowverse Debut In the Elseworlds Crossover

Entertainment Weekly has announced that Bob Frazer (The 100) has been cast as the Psycho-Pirate in the Arrowverse Elseworlds crossover.

Frazer will only appear in parts two (Arrow) and three (Supergirl) of the crossover. According to EW, the heroes will encounter Psycho-Pirate inside of Arkham Asylum. But it’s unclear if Amell’s Green Arrow and Gustin’s Flash will meet Psycho-Pirate, or if it will be their Elseworlds counterparts .This side trip to Arkham is almost certainly going to involve Ruby Rose’s Batwoman.

Jeremy Davies has a major role in the crossover as John Deegan, a doctor at Arkham Asylum. Deegan is believed to be the primary villain of Elseworlds. The early word is that Deegan might be crazier than the inmates he treats. In DC’s comic book world, the Psycho-Pirate was a frequent visitor of Arkham Asylum. That’s because he was one of the few characters who could remember the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, which destroyed the multiverse. Psycho-Pirate also has the ability to use his Medusa Mask to manipulate and absorb the emotions of others.

It’s worth noting that The Flash has been teasing a Crisis since the very first episode of the series. Elseworlds is also introducing LaMonica Garrett as the Monitor, another key player from Crisis on Infinite Earths. This suggests that that Elseworlds could play a role in further establishing The Flash‘s long term plans, while teasing his ultimate fate. During Crisis on Infinite Earths, Psycho-Pirate was present when Barry Allen sacrificed himself. Time will tell if history repeats itself in the Arrowverse.
