Alan Tudyk Will Voice the Joker in the Harley Quinn Animated Series

Fresh from last week’s preview, the new Harley Quinn adult animated series for the DC Universe streaming service has found its Joker. During an interview with Discussing Film, Batman voice actor Diedrich Bader revealed that geek icon Alan Tudyk, will voice the Joker on the upcoming show.

Tudyk has gained fans through his numerous credits in TV shows and films based on comics and sci-fi. But he is best known for his roles in Firefly and Rogue One. This won’t be Tudyk’s only role on the DC Universe, he was previously cast as Mr. Nobody for the forthcoming Doom Patrol miniseries. Tudyk will also reunite with his Powerless costar Ron Funches for Harley Quinn. They will be joined by an impressive cast including Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, and Chris Meloni.

Kaley Cuoco will break the fourth wall as the voice of Harley Quinn herself. The series will follow Harley’s quest to earn her spot in the Legion of Doom. She also puts together a group of villains who missed the A list to help her in her cause. Hilarity will no doubt ensue.

Cuoco already sounds terrific in the short trailer for this upcoming show. Bader has previously voiced the Dark Knight in the criminally underrated Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon. It is too soon to decide if Tudyk will add himself to the list of memorable Joker performances. But if his previous work is any indication, then we’re confident he’ll do well.
