The London Film and Comic Con

We received the following press release about the London Film and Comic Con, which takes place on the 25th and 26th. If you get a chance to attend the Con, be sure to drop us a note:

The London Film and Comic Con is returning to the U.K.’s capital city, and this time it’s bigger and better than ever before!

This summer movie stars from around the world will be descending on London for the movie and media event of the year, and you’re all invited!

20th Century Fox will be unveiling an exclusive first full look at Doctor Doom from the forthcoming Fantastic Four movie, while UIP will be giving away promotional goodies from their forthcoming release Serenity. And as if that wasn’t enough there will be a range of free talks from television, movie and comic guests. It will take a whole two days just to take everything in!

On the 25th and 26th June 2005 Showmasters will be running their third LONDON FILM AND COMIC CON event at Earls Court in London, England, and have already signed up over 30 celebrities including top Hollywood producer Glen A. Larson as well as numerous stars from blockbuster movies and classic TV series, comic artists and writers, and behind the scenes crew.

Other attractions include a massive dealers hall with specialist companies from around Europe and the USA selling a wide range of merchandise. From replica lightsabres to original posters from the greatest classic films ever made, toys, autographs, movies, replica swords, books, comics, cards, and even original movie props and costumes, there will be everything to keep the big kid in all of us happy!

The show has grown into an annual mega-event, with many of the major film distributors and merchandise companies giving sneak previews of their forthcoming attractions and promoting the latest releases. The London Film and Comic Con is rapidly evolving into a focal point for the movie and media industry, a chance for companies to launch their campaigns and fans to be the very first to see what’s new.
