Warner Home Video will release the $100 million-budgeted Halle Berry-starrer Catwoman on DVD and VHS on January 18. The film, which earned a not-so-hot $73 million worldwide this summer, will be available in both Widescreen and Full Screen versions.
Carrying a suggested retail price of $27.95, the DVD includes English, French, and Spanish subtitles, additional scenes, alternate endings, the documentary “The Many Faces of Catwoman,” the “HBO First Look” special, and a Suede magazine insert for a 2 month trial subscription.
Catwoman is the story of meek, mild-mannered artist Patience Philips, who works for Hedare Beauty, a mammoth cosmetics company on the verge of releasing a revolutionary anti-aging product. When Patience inadvertently happens upon a dark secret her employer is hiding, she is attacked and killed. But Patience is given a second chance – a second life in which someone not quite human resides. Someone with the strength, speed, agility and ultra-keen senses of a cat. With her newfound power, Patience becomes Catwoman, and sets out to stop Hedare’s callous plan to unleash an appallingly dangerous product into the world.
Sharon Stone, Benjamin Bratt, Lambert Wilson, Alex Borstein, and Michael Massee also star in the Pitof-directed movie.
