The Los Angeles Daily News has an update on Leslie Nielsen’s animated superhero comedy series…
Leslie Nielsen is five episodes into recording the title voice in his soon-to-be-syndicated animated show, “Zeroman,” about a superhero character whose humor is aimed at the grown-up crowd as well as the kids.
“We do some things that have a double meaning,” reports Leslie. “The fact that it’s animation, oddly enough, lets you get away with saying a lot of things because your audience says, ‘This is just a cartoon.’ ”
Nielsen also plays Zeroman’s mild-mannered alter ego, a postman, and Doris Roberts plays his mom. Zeroman looks a little like Leslie and acts a little like his absurd “Naked Gun” cop character, Frank Drebin.
