After Nick Frost, Shaun of the Dead fans want Simon Pegg to join Harry Potter series
The cast for the upcoming Harry Potter series is steadily forming, with actor Nick Frost reportedly in talks to join as Hagrid.
Although HBO has not yet commented on Nick Frost being cast as Hagrid, many fans online are rooting for Frost to get the role and also want Simon Pegg to join the cast. On Reddit, many fans made suggestions for characters that Pegg could play in the series, such as Argus Filch or Peeves the Poltergeist. Users also had a number of other choices for characters that Pegg could play in the Harry Potter series.
One user pitched the idea that Pegg could play Arthur Weasley in the show.
Another user named @goldengod828 wrote, “Feel like he might do a good Quirrel too.”
A third user called for Pegg to play Sirius Black and noted that the actor has already portrayed the role of his ancestor, “Phineas Black in the Hogwarts Legacy game.” The user added, “Or he could just play Phineas Black in the painting if he wanted a less involved role.”
Another Reddit user suggested that Simon Pegg could also be cast as Nearly Headless Nick in the series.
Apart from Nick Frost, other actors who are reportedly being considered for the TV series are Janet McTeer as Professor Minerva McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape. Conclave actor John Lithgow has already been confirmed to be playing Albus Dumbledore.
