Jason Momoa nearly revealed his Lobo look for the upcoming DCU feature Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow while promoting A Minecraft Movie. However, Momoa’s publicist stopped the Fast X actor just in time, prompting a reaction from the DCU co-head James Gunn.
Jason Momoa shares Lobo suit details for Supergirl, almost shows it
Jason Momoa shared details about his character in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow while he and Jack Black were promoting The Minecraft Movie. The interviewer, representing CinemaBlend, asked Momoa whether he would have the white makeup for Lobo all over his skin or just the exposed parts.
When Momoa asked what the interviewer meant, the latter pointed out that Lobo often wore armor. Momoa responded, “Yeah, I’m covered,” later strongly indicating that he would have makeup all over his body. Momoa even revealed that he had a photo and got up to grab his phone to show it to the interviewer.
This was when Momoa’s publicist interrupted and urged the actor not to do it. Momoa laughed and ultimately didn’t reveal the photo to the interviewer. When the interviewer remarked that he was “this close” to getting a major story and Momoa agreed, the publisher promised, “It’ll be worth the wait.”

Gunn quoted CinemaBlend’s post on the interview on Threads and wrote, “I just want to profoundly thank Jason’s publicist.”
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is currently in production and comes out in US theaters on June 26, 2026. If Momoa had revealed the photo, it would have been a major spoiler for the movie that would not be released in more than a year.
