It’s been four years since the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, also known as the Snyder Cut, and fans have once again taken to social media to demand a sequel to the movie.
The Snyder Cut came out on HBO Max on March 18, 2021, after a sustained fan campaign for its release. The cut restores the director’s original vision for his DCEU Justice League film before it was reshot and cut down for its theatrical release.
Zack Snyder celebrates Justice League Snyder Cut’s anniversary, fans ask for more
Zack Snyder recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a clip of the Snyder Cut to celebrate 4 years since its release.
The Rebel Moon director urged fans to stream the movie again on Max and wrote, “It’s been 4 years. Still humbled by the fact that this exists at all. Big thanks to all of you that made it happen. If you have a spare 4 hours, go give it a watch on @StreamOnMax.”
Following this post, fans chimed in to express their admiration for the film and put out their desires for a sequel.
A user with the handle @AkkiZac019 shared a meme using images from Snyder’s film Batman v Superman with the hashtag “#RestoreTheSnyderVerse.”
Another X user, Justin Bass, replied to Snyder’s post by writing that they recently watched the movie and compared it to Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. He stated, “I recently rewatched with my kids Man of Steel, BvS, and the 4 hour Justice League and though they do not rise to the level of Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, they are superior to Infinity War and Endgame. The one great flaw is that you didn’t finish the story.”
User @Itsonemore23 expressed their desire to see a sequel to Snyder Cut and asserted, “I hope we do get the final Chapters someday. This had some Lord of the rings trilogy vibe to it.”
@TheNuGeekz called for the Snyderverse to be sold to Netflix and mentioned the hashtag #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix. They wrote, “Hopefully we can see the entire team come together some day soon on @netflix!”
