Following ongoing social media discussions, the #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix movement continues to trend across multiple platforms. The campaign calls for Warner Bros. Discovery to sell the rights to Zack Snyder’s Justice League and related projects to Netflix. The hashtag has been widely shared as fans reference Snyder’s previous work with Netflix and the shift in DC Studios’ creative direction. Online reactions include statements about the SnyderVerse’s past success and speculation regarding its future.
DC fans still want Warner Bros. to sell the SnyderVerse to Netflix
Warner Bros. moved away from the SnyderVerse after Zack Snyder’s Justice League premiered in 2021, shifting focus to new DC projects under different leadership.
One fan on X (formerly Twitter) stated, “10/10 perfection. The fact [Warner Bros.] didn’t follow up on it is criminal. #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix.” As a result, the #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix movement continues to gain traction on social media, with fans urging Warner Bros. Discovery to sell Snyder’s DC projects to Netflix.
James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, has previously addressed the movement, calling it the “wackiest hashtag” on X. He stated that neither Netflix nor Zack Snyder had shown interest in acquiring the rights to the SnyderVerse characters and storylines.
A Reddit user explained, “Anything like this would have to be a deal made directly by DC and Warner Bros. since Snyder directed the movies under a work-for-hire contract and doesn’t own the IP rights.”
Despite this, fans continue to push for a sale, pointing to the SnyderVerse’s popularity. One fan on X commented, “ZSJL was released 4 years ago today. If WB wasn’t stupid enough, we could’ve gotten the trilogy of this masterpiece.”
Another suggested an alternative, saying, “Why not make it an Elseworlds saga to conclude Snyder’s version? Fans would be happy since they would have a big bad in the Elseworlds saga all while James Gunn peacefully builds his universe.”
Zack Snyder, currently working with Netflix on Rebel Moon and other projects, has not confirmed any discussions regarding the SnyderVerse. However, fans have continued to speculate after Snyder shared posts related to the movement on Vero.
The campaign remains active across multiple platforms, with hashtags such as #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and #SellZSJLtoNetflix continuing to trend.
