With the Creature Commandos series nearing its final episodes, James Gunn has come out to disclose whether Season 1 will contain a post-credits scene. The animated show marked the official launch of the revamped DCU, premiering its first two episodes on December 5, 2024. Since then, it has launched three more chapters, doing so weekly. With just two more episodes left in the first season, Gunn has officially addressed the existence of a credits scene.

The acclaimed filmmaker shared in a social media interaction that Creature Commandos will indeed have a post-credits scene in the season finale.
Gunn revealed the said information while responding to a fan question on Threads. The Superman director is known for dropping such hints about his projects on the social media platform. In a recent conversation, a seemingly avid DC enthusiast asked Gunn whether the animated series would showcase a post-credits scene. Gunn replied with a brief but decisive answer, stating, “The season finale will, yes.”
The confirmation from the DC Studios CEO regarding the post-credits scene opens up a wide range of possibilities for the Creature Commandos series. The show majorly revolves around the misadventures of a misfit team of criminals, who embark on life-threatening missions following their recruitment by the infamous Amanda Waller.
Since its release, Creature Commandos has garnered much praise from critics and audiences alike and currently boasts a critic score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. The show’s immense popularity has also contributed to its renewal, with Max recently confirming a sequel season. “We’re thrilled to team up with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem,” Gunn and DC Studios co-chairman Peter Safran announced in a public statement.
Despite the confirmation, an official release date for Creature Commandos Season 2 remains unknown at the time of writing.
