A new rumor details how Doctor Strange’s actions in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness have already set the stage for the incursions of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. Little details are available about the plots of Doomsday and Secret Wars plots. Albeit, fans can be sure that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will play a crucial role in them.
Doctor Strange rumored to be the reason for incursions in Avengers 5 and 6
Doctor Strange’s whereabouts after Multiverse of Madness are currently unknown. In his last appearance, he and Clea left for the Dark Dimension to fix an incursion. Many initially presumed that this incursion that Clea mentioned happened because of Strange’s time-loop prison scene with Dormammu. But that may not be the case.
A new rumor suggests that Doctor Strange’s botched spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the attempt to fix it caused this incursion. According to trusted insider, Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, “The incursion we saw near the end of No Way Home is the incursion Clea was referring to fixing at the end of Multiverse of Madness.”
Perez also explained that with Kang supposedly out of the picture, Doctor Strange will be blamed for a lot that will happen in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. In the first part of Perez’s December Discord Q&A, he further wrote that Doomsday “will focus on who exactly is to blame for the current state of the Multiverse.”
Asking whether it was Kang, his variants, or someone else, Perez adds:
“What I’m hearing is that they’re going to try and shift the blame on Doctor Strange, and it’s a motif that’s been building up for a while now.”
The scooper then states that Strange will become the reason for incursions. Besides, that’s what Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have been setting up.
Variants of Strange were the biggest threat to the multiverse in the Doctor Strange sequel. Now, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars could drive that notion further with Earth-616’s Stephen Strange variant. That is if the aforementioned scoop turns out to be true. However, it needs to be taken with a grain of salt until Doomsday arrives.
