Carrie-Anne Moss on Possibility of Her Marvel Return in Daredevil or Other MCU Shows

With Marvel opening its doors to legacy cinematic characters with Deadpool & Wolverine, actress Carrie-Anne Moss has come out to address her potential return to the MCU. The Matrix star made her Marvel debut with 2015’s Jessica Jones as the stubborn but just lawyer Hogarth. Moss’ character has yet to reappear in the universe, however. In a recent discussion, the acclaimed actress shed light on her chances of returning to the MCU.

Carrie-Anne Moss doesn’t think her Marvel character will return in MCU

Carrie-Anne Moss admitted that she would love to reprise her Marvel role. However, she also stated that she is doubtful of such a development ever happening.

The actress disclosed her thoughts on the topic in an interview with The Direct’s Russ Milheim. While promoting her upcoming film Die Alone, Carrie-Anne Moss provided insight into her experience at Marvel, stating, “I loved playing her. I really don’t pay much attention [to] what’s happening with that whole universe. I loved playing her, one of my favorite roles I’ve ever played.”

Nevertheless, Moss also conveyed that a return looks highly unlikely at the moment. “I would, of course, love to play her again, but I don’t see that,” she added. “I’m pretty intuitive. I don’t feel that coming my way. But I don’t know.”

Carrie-Anne Moss’ maiden venture into the Marvel lore as Hogarth received a positive response from viewers. Following a strong debut in Jessica Jones, the character also made recurring appearances in other Netflix-Marvel collaborations, including Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Defenders. Hogarth was last seen in Jessica Jones Season 3, as the lawyer continued her losing battle with ALS.

From the aforementioned Netflix shows, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher are officially transitioning to the MCU. The trio will reprise their former roles in the much-awaited Daredevil: Born Again series, which will debut on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
