Miles Morales could make his MCU debut after Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently provided an update on when Miles Morales might debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
During his appearance at the D23 event in São Paulo, Brazil, Feige confirmed that Miles Morales will first feature in Sony’s animated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, currently in production. He stated, “Miles will appear in the third ‘Spider-Verse’ movie, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action” (via The Direct).
Sony’s animated Spider-Verse films and Insomniac’s video games have limited appearances of Miles Morales so far. In the MCU, Donald Glover’s character, Aaron Davis, referenced his nephew in New York in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This was an indirect nod to Miles Morales. Glover also portrayed a version of the Prowler in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), adding another subtle connection to Miles’ character.
Marvel will release the next Spider-Man film, Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland, on July 24, 2026. Filming is expected to begin in 2025. Reports suggest that Spider-Verse 3 may still be several years away from completion, possibly delaying Miles’ live-action debut until closer to 2026 or beyond.
Kevin Feige’s comments suggest that Miles Morales’ introduction may align with upcoming MCU events, possibly within the multiverse storyline. Fans will need to wait for further developments. Marvel plans to integrate Miles Morales into the MCU at the right moment, following his anticipated appearance in Beyond the Spider-Verse.
