Marvel Studios’ Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man series has reportedly been delayed until 2025, pushing back its original release date. The animated show will feature Peter Parker in classic adventures, bringing back some of his most notable villains. Sources indicate that production issues caused the delay, though an official new release date has not yet been confirmed.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man series release date reportedly delayed
Marvel Studios has reportedly delayed the release of its new animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man until 2025.
A post from The Cosmic Circus on X (formerly Twitter) reveals that the series, originally slated for a November 2, 2024, release on Disney Plus, will not meet its intended date and now expects to debut sometime next year.
Marvel has not yet released any promotional material for the show. The series will mark Marvel Studios’ first solo animated project featuring Spider-Man after his appearance in What If…? Season 1. Fans eagerly anticipated Peter Parker’s classic adventures and iconic villains, but now the release has been pushed back.
The show ranked among six Marvel Studios series scheduled for release on Disney Plus in 2024, alongside Echo and Agatha All Along. Its delay adds to a growing list of Spider-Man-related projects facing setbacks. This includes Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which also lacks a concrete release timeline.
The MCU has a busy future planned for Spider-Man, with projects like Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man 4, which will begin filming in the summer of 2025. Although uncertainties surround Spider-Man’s next appearances, the animated series and upcoming films will keep the character in the spotlight.
With the delay of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Marvel fans will have to wait until 2025 for the series’ debut on Disney Plus. As the new year approaches, we anticipate further updates on the release timeline.
