Andrew Garfield believes his Spider-Man is stronger than Florence Pugh’s Yelena
Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh were recently present at an interview to talk about their upcoming movie, We Live in Time.
The two visited LADbible TV, where they clashed over some big debates on their segment, Agree To Disagree. While they shared their opinions on various topics, Garfield and Pugh were asked to express their thoughts on who would claim victory in a face-off between their MCU characters, Spider-Man and Yelena Belova.
You can watch the interview below:
The co-stars faced each other as shown in the clip, as the topic popped up, saying ‘Yelena Belova could beat Spider-Man in a fight.’ While Pugh found it difficult to answer that, Garfield labeled the topic “tricky” and said, “I don’t imagine a context wherein that would have to occur.”
Florence Pugh further asserted that she imagines Yelena Belova and Spider-Man being good pals. However, Andrew Garfield chimed in saying that the two characters could engage in a “play fight,” which in his opinion Spider-Man would win.
Continuing their debate, Florence Pugh admitted that Yelena Belova “doesn’t have any superpowers. She’s just really good at things.” However, she also highlighted Belova possessing some good weapons. Thus, the debate between the two actors ended in a disagreement, and they decided to move on to the next topic.
Andrew Garfield donned the web-slinger’s suit in Sony’s 2012 movie The Amazing Spider-Man and the 2014 sequel that followed it. Florence Pugh, on the other hand, joined Marvel as Yelena Belova in the 2021 movie Black Widow, alongside Scarlett Johansson. She will reprise her role in the upcoming movie Thunderbolts*.
