Following the huge box office success of Deadpool & Wolverine, and intense speculation over the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it charts its course toward its next two Avengers movies, there has been anticipation by fans to see where the two title characters end up next within the Marvel multiverse.
Deadpool & Wolverine 2 is allegedly already being discussed
Recently, a Hollywood insider, My Time To Shine Hello, surprised their followers after they teased that a Deadpool & Wolverine sequel might already be a part of discussions at Marvel.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), user My Time To Shine Hello wrote, “I hear they’re already discussing a Deadpool & Wolverine sequel.” However, there is no concrete evidence to support the details.
Rumors surrounding a possible sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine have been around since the movie dropped in theaters in July and topped the global box office. In its theatrical run, the superhero film made over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, as per Box Office Mojo. It has also become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, surpassing the huge box office take of the 2019 comic book movie movie Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix.
Recently, the editors of Deadpool & Wolverine, Dean Zimmerman and Shane Reid, expressed their enthusiasm to work on a sequel. In an interview with MovieWeb, Zimmerman, speaking about his overall excitement said, “If they’re willing to do that, I’m 100% in to jump on that ride. I’ll do 50 of these!” Reid also voiced his support for a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine, saying that he’s hoping the actors get “back together to jump into the fire.”
