Agatha All Along’s Joe Locke Wants Wiccan To Lead the Avengers

Agatha All Along has finally cleared up the mystery surrounding the identity of Joe Locke’s character, Teen, revealing him to be Billy Maximoff a.k.a. Wiccan. Now that the truth has come to light, the series will finally be able to delve deep into the magical background of Wiccan and actor Joe Locke has spoken about his desires for the character’s future within the MCU.

Joe Locke says Wiccan is the next head of the Avengers in his ‘ideal world’

Joe Locke expressed his enthusiasm for playing Wiccan and his ambitions for the character within the MCU in a recent discussion with Entertainment Weekly. “In my ideal world, Billy would become the next head of the Avengers and be in every Marvel thing ever, but there are higher things at play,” the actor said. Though it has been rumored that the MCU has been imminently setting up its version of the Young Avengers, a team that Wiccan has been a part of in the comics, no details have yet been confirmed.

Locke also added, “I had the most amazing experience filming on Agatha and being a part of the Marvel family and would love to do that until the day I die. But who knows? I don’t. I’m sure someone does.”

The reveal that Locke’s character is Wiccan has also sparked hope among fans for the much-awaited return of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. The fan-favorite magic-wielder was last seen in an MCU project in 2022 when she assumed a villainous role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, with the recent reveal that one of her sons, Billy Maximoff a.k.a. Wiccan, is in Agatha All Along, her return to the MCU could be in the works.

Agatha All Along has already premiered five episodes of its nine-episode season. The remaining chapters of the limited series will come out on a weekly basis, every other Wednesday.
