Andrew Garfield Rumored for Avengers: Secret Wars & More Spider-Man Projects

Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to be MCU’s biggest multiverse movie, uniting characters such as Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man with several others originating from different Marvel universes. But now, a new rumor suggests that not only will Marvel bring Garfield back for Secret Wars after Spider-Man: No Way Home, but he could appear in other projects as well.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man rumored to return in Avengers: Secret Wars and more Sony movies

Spider-Man: No Way Home successfully brought back Andrew Garfield to team up with Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland. But, all three Spider-Men have been missing since then. Past rumors have suggested that they’d be back together in Spider-Man 4. However, that’s not where things might end for Garfield at least.

As per familiar scooper @MyTimeToShineHello, he is set to play a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars, and before that, Sony wants him to appear in more SSU movies as well. But, whether those movies will include The Amazing Spider-Man 3 hasn’t been mentioned.

Even though MTTSH is an established scooper with a decent track record, their recent scoop needs to be taken with a grain of salt since it hasn’t officially come from Marvel or Sony. However, when asked about returning recently, Garfield showed great interest in playing Spider-Man again.

Speaking to Esquire, he said:

“For sure, I would 100 percent come back if it was the right thing, if it’s additive to the culture, if there’s a great concept or something that hasn’t been done before that’s unique and odd and exciting and that you can sink your teeth into. I love that character, and it brings joy. If part of what I bring is joy, then I’m joyful in return.”

It remains to be seen when exactly his return will happen. But for now, Andrew Garfield fans can catch him in We Live in Time, which is currently playing in theaters.
