Since its premiere on Disney Plus on September 18, 2024, Agatha All Along has become one of the most successful TV outings for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The titular character, Kathryn Hahn‘s Agatha Harkness, first appeared in the 2021 miniseries WandaVision before receiving her own series. Recently, Hahn discussed whether her character could appear in an MCU movie.

During her appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in September, Kathryn Hahn addressed the prospects of her character appearing in an MCU movie following her role in Agatha All Along.
Notably, there is precedence of this. Iman Vellani, for instance, first appeared in the 2022 series Ms. Marvel as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. She later shared the screen with Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris in the 2023 feature The Marvels.
During the podcast, Hahn was asked if she could see Agatha being part of an MCU team from the big screen. “I keep thinking about witches, and this is the first time an old-school, learned witch that learned from their mother’s covens their grandmother’s covens, like, these are the first witches that are, like, rooted to the earth,” Hahn said in response. “Y’know, the Scarlet Witch is so untrained. She’s born with this incredible chaos and magic…,” she added. (via The Direct)
Hahn recalled how she felt when she was told about Agatha. “I think the witches are a really great…way in anywhere,” she said. “That’s why, when it was a witch that I was proposed to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I was like… It really felt wicked stepsister-y, like we were getting away with something, coming in through, like, a side door. We were like, ‘Don’t mind me!’ Because it really did feel like, when is someone gonna pull the plug,” she added.
According to Hahn, it “would be a lot of potential fun in just dropping a witch into any grouping.”
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created Agatha. She has an extensive history with several mainstream comic-book characters. This includes Scarlet Witch / Wanda Maximoff, other members of the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four. If the MCU does bring her to the big screen, she will probably fit right in with these characters.
