Batman Becomes First Superhero to Get a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

DC’s Batman, portrayed by actors like Michael Keaton and Christian Bale, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 26, 2024, making him as the first superhero to receive this honor. Known for his intelligence, skill, and technical prowess, Batman has captivated audiences since his debut in 1939’s Detective Comics #27. Alongside the star, Batman will also receive a Guinness World Records title as the first superhero to be honored on the Walk of Fame. The event will showcase costumes and props from Batman’s history, allowing fans to see iconic pieces up close.

DC’s Batman sets Guinness world record with star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

On September 26, 2024, Batman will receive the 2,790th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He will be the first superhero to receive this honor.

The ceremony will take place at 6764 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Hollywood Guinness World Records Museum. Notable attendees will include DC’s Jim Lee and Anne DePies. Batman’s star will sit next to the stars of co-creator Bob Kane and actor Adam West, who portrayed Batman in the 1960s television series.

Batman will receive a star and get the Guinness World Records title as the first superhero honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The superhero holds multiple records, including being the most adapted comic book character in live-action movies. Batman also has the most Oscar winners, including George Clooney and Ben Affleck, portraying one superhero.

A fan event at Funko Hollywood will coincide with the ceremony. It features an exclusive meet-and-greet with Jim Lee and a display of Batman-related items from Warner Bros. Archives. Fans can join by obtaining wristbands. The first 100 fans who purchase Batman products on September 24 will receive these.

Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The superhero has been featured in comics, films, and television for over 85 years. The Hollywood Walk of Fame star marks a significant milestone, recognizing his numerous appearances and adaptations across various media.
