Highly acclaimed director and co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn and actor Chris Pratt have been each other’s close friends for years now. Thus, with Gunn leading the DCU on a new path, rumors have been circulating that he is all ready to have his friend Pratt join him through the means of a new role after their successful stint in the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Gunn recently talked about this while interacting with a fan and addressed rumors regarding Chris Pratt becoming a part of DC.
James Gunn says he talks to Chris Pratt about DC role ‘all the time’
Director James Gunn is known for being active on social media and addressing numerous rumors surrounding the rebooted DC universe. However, recently he made a positive revelation that caught the attention of both Marvel and DC fans.
For quite a while now, speculations surrounding Chris Pratt joining DC have been flowing in the air. Amid this, fans managed to attract Gunn’s attention on X (formerly Twitter).
One of the users asked Gunn whether Pratt becoming a part of DC is a rumor or not. Not knowing what the user was saying, Gunn replied, “I don’t even know what rumor you’re talking about.”
When another user explained the rumor, Gunn revealed that he talks to Pratt about this and said, “He’s a close friend. We talk about that all the time.” (via Comic Book Movie)
Even though Gunn didn’t provide any solid proof, his words managed to do a great job of keeping the hopes of fans alive.
James Gunn and Chris Pratt previously worked together in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies in the MCU. Given the immense praise these projects garnered, Pratt in the DC universe might be a sight to witness for fans if it becomes a reality.
