Kraven the Hunter director promises huge surprises for Spider-Man spin-off

J.C. Chandor recently spoke about his experience working on Sony’s Kraven the Hunter and how he feels about the movie. In his small interaction, he expressed his high hopes for the movie. He also stated that the R-rated Kraven the Hunter outing has the potential to shock and blow away the audience.

Chandor told Deadline:

“I’m extremely proud of the work we have all done together on Kraven, and when the movie finally gets its chance to be seen I think it’s gonna surprise the hell out of a lot of people.”

Additionally, the director shared insight on his upcoming projects saying, “As for what’s next for me, as always that’s up to the moviemaking gods.”

Kraven the Hunter reportedly embodies the theme of J.C. Chandor’s previous works. This includes A Most Violent Year, Margin Call, All is Lost, etc. Apart from that, Kraven the Hunter is set in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, which is seemingly building up a Sinister Six crossover event.

The movie follows the story of Sergei Kravinoff, a Russian huntsman who goes on a revenge-fueled mission to prove himself. Steve Ditko and Stan Lee wrote the character. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular character, alongside Russell Crowe, Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, and Fred Hechinger.
