A sequel to 2023’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is coming in 2026.
Per Variety, Paramount has given the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel an October 9, 2026, release date. The movie will be directed by Jeff Rowe and produced by Point Grey Pictures.
While major plot details for the forthcoming sequel remain under wraps at this time, Rowe has previously spoken about how Shredder — who was teased at the end of the 2023 movie — will be the main antagonist the heroes in a half-shell have to face.
He previously told Empire Magazine, “Shredder used to be the main villain [in Mutant Mayhem] before we pivoted away from that. They saved the Joker for The Dark Knight. The one thing I can say without spoiling anything is, [Shredder] needs to be 100 times scarier than Superfly — who is a credible villain, he’s dangerous, he’s strong, he seems like he could mess the Turtles up. Shredder needs to be that, just significantly more.”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which was also directed by Rowe, was released in theaters in August 2023. The movie made approximately $180.5 million at the global box office off of an estimated $70 million budget and received generally positive reviews from critics and fans.
