Marvel’s Secret Invasion series is currently in production, but apparently not far enough along for a trailer on Disney+ Day. Regardless, Marvel Studios and Disney+ have released a first look at Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury on the show. And as you can see from the pic above, he’s looking a little ragged, and his signature eye patch is missing. Nick Fury returns.
The real Nick Fury was last seen on a Skrull starship in the post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home. It still hasn’t been explained how and why Fury is out in space. However, we do know that Secret Invasion is dealing with a massive Skrull infiltration on Earth. The alien shape shifters may not have been villains in Captain Marvel, but some of them have already decided to make Earth their new home…whether humanity likes it or not.
Fortunately, Fury does have some backup on the show. Ben Mendelsohn is reprising his role as the Skrull leader, Talos. But in a world under siege by shape shifters, who can Fury truly trust?

Additionally, Marvel debuted a new logo for Secret Invasion:
Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, and Christopher McDonald will also co-star in Secret Invasion. Kingsley Ben-Adir will portray the lead villain on the series.
Secret Invasion will likely premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
