Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have become nigh-inseparable in big-budget comedies these days. But while they’ve done high-concept before, they make unexpected choices for Krypto the Super-Dog and Ace the Bat-Hound. And yet, here they are. In the new teaser for DC League of SuperPets, their dynamic gets revealed. Krypto is super and he knows it, not unlike his voice actor during his WWE days. Ace thinks more pragmatically, especially when nature calls. But he will not be denied his due credit.
Take a look at the two movie stars going to the dogs in the player below. Similarities to The Secret Life of Pets may or may not be coincidental.
Superheroes need a bathroom too. Especially if they have no powers. Thankfully for the pets, they don’t have to find a way to remove rubber and spandex pants.

DC League of Superpets also stars Marc Maron as Lex Luthor. Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Keanu Reeves, and Jameela Jamil also appear. Though their roles are unspecified, Streaky the Super-Cat and Jumpa the Wonder-Kangaroo will reportedly show up.
The first full trailer should launch globally in November. The movie debuts in theaters May 22, 2022.
