One of The CW’s Arrowverse vets is about to make the jump to the MCU. According to Deadline, Josh Segarra has come aboard Marvel’s She-Hulk series on Disney+. Unfortunately, the identity of his character is still a mystery.
Segarra previously appeared throughout several seasons of Arrow as Adrian Chase, who eventually became the supervillan Prometheus. He has also had recurring roles on Orange is the New Black, FBI, and AJ and the Queen. Additionally, Segarra has shown up on the big screen in films like Trainwreck and Overboard.
Tatiana Maslany is headlining She-Hulk as Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters. In the comics, Jennifer inherits Bruce’s gamma-enhanced strength after a gunshot wound requires an emergency blood transfusion. Presumably, the TV show will stick close to the character’s comic book origin, with Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce/Smart Hulk from the films of the MCU. The series will also feature the return of Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, who will soon appear in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in September. Jameela Jamil, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Ginger Gonzaga have roles on the show as well.

Jessica Gao is spearheading She-Hulk as the head writer, with Kat Coiro and Anu Valia helming different blocks of episodes. Disney+ still hasn’t announced a release date for the show, but a 2022 premiere seems likely.
