Snake Eyes Panel to Open This Year’s Comic-Con@Home

This year’s Comic-Con@Home will be opened with a Snake Eyes panel. Mari Takahashi will host the event featuring new content from the film, behind-the-scenes footage, and exclusive interviews with the cast, including Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, Takehiro Hira, Peter Mensah, and Iko Uwais. Larry Hama, writer of the G.I. Joe comics, will also attend. Comic-Con has yet to announce the specific date and time for the panel, though the con is set to begin July 23.

In addition to that, the movie will be screened for Fans First across the country in 10 cities: Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Miami, San Diego, Houston, Phoenix, and Vancouver. The Fans First screening will take place on Wednesday, July 21.

The producers have also dropped six videos to show the transformation of the characters from the original G.I. Joe comics to their live-action adaptation. Check out the first here below, and then watch the remaining ones at the end of the post. A new trailer will debut on June 21.

According to the official synopsis, “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him. Based on the iconic G.I. Joe character, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins will hit theaters on July 23.
