The CW has debuted a brand-new promo for the upcoming twelfth episode of Batwoman season 2. The show is taking a week off from its usual schedule as the next installment will air on May 2. In addition, when the series will return, it will have a different time slot. Ryan and the rest of the Batwoman team will now air at 9/8c, one hour later than usual. From the freshly released promo, it appears that the titular heroine and Alice will join forces in the next episode. Alice has always had a complicated relationship with the Scarlet Knight, but things seemed to run better since Ryan donned the cape and cowl, taking over from Kate Kane. However, the twin sister of the previous Batwoman is far from being a trustworthy ally.

Glen Winter directed the episode with a story by Zack Siddiqui and teleplay by Jerry Shandy. The official synopsis for “Initiate Self-Destruct” reads:
“WE ALL WEAR MASKS – Ryan (Javicia Leslie) is faced with a difficult decision that could expose her as Batwoman, creating a rift in the Bat Team. Meanwhile, Black Mask’s (guest star Peter Outerbridge) plans for Kate Kane (Wallis Day) begin to unfold. Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is reunited with someone from her past, and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) must decide where her loyalty lies. Also starring Dougray Scott, Nicole Kang and Camrus Johnson.”
