Jefferson Gets a Visit From the FBI in Black Lightning Episode 4.08 Photos

The CW has debuted a brand-new set of promotional photos for the upcoming eighth episode of Black Lightning Season 4. The latest installment scored a precedent as it was the first time that the story didn’t feature either Jefferson Pierce or Lynn Stewart. However, it saw the return of Jordan Calloway’s Khalil Payne, a.k.a. Painkiller, as the episode served as a backdoor pilot for the possible spin-off series focused on the tormented superpowered metahuman. Much like the television network did for the previous episodes, The CW didn’t reveal too much about what’s next in the series. However, we get a few stills with Jefferson, who is going to receive a visit from the FBI. On top of that, there are a couple of shots with Anissa and Grace, who have to recover from the eventful yet unromantic honeymoon. Finally, The CW dropped a photo of Gambi.

The episode was written by Andre Edmonds and directed by Bille Woodruff. The official synopsis for “The Book of Ruin: Chapter Three” reads:

“TROUBLE – The FBI pays Jefferson (Cress Williams) a visit. Meanwhile, Anissa (Nafessa Williams) surprises Grace (Chantal Thuy). Christine Adams, James Remar, Marvin Jones III, and Jordan Calloway also star.”

The next episode of Black Lightning will air on The CW on April 19.
