Mark Millar Reveals New Character Posters For Jupiter’s Legacy

This week, Netflix finally dropped the trailer for its adaptation of Jupiter’s Legacy. Now, the original comic’s co-creator, Mark Millar, has treated fans to a bonus bit of marketing. Via his official Twitter account, Millar debuted new character posters for the series that introduce viewers to five members of the Sampson family. Check them out for yourself below.

Josh Duhamel is headlining the new series as Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian, a man who gained superhuman abilities in the 1930s after visiting a mysterious island alongside his future wife, Grace, his brother, Walter, and several of their friends. The group subsequently formed the world’s first superhero team, the Union. Leslie Bibb and Ben Daniels are co-starring as Grace and Walter, respectively.

Just like the comic, the show primarily concentrates on Sheldon and Grace’s relationship with their children, Brandon and Chloe, who were also born with powers of their own. However, they’ve both found themselves disillusioned with superheroics. Brandon (Andrew Horton) believes all the real threats died out years ago, while Chloe (Elena Kampouris) prefers a life of hard partying and drug use.

Steven S. DeKnight, the showrunner of Daredevil season 1, also developed Jupiter’s Legacy for Netflix. But in late 2019, DeKnight exited the new series due to creative differences. Sang Kyu Kim subsequently took over as the new showrunner.

Jupiter’s Legacy premieres on Netflix on May 7.
