The CW has revealed a new trailer for Batwoman Season 2, following the season premiere on television a couple of days ago. Fans were introduced to the new titular heroine, Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder, who took up the mask, the cape, and cowl following Ruby Rose’s exit from the show. The episode explained what happened to Kate Kane, whose body went missing during a mission to National City.
Besides offering a closer look at Gotham’s new masked vigilante, the trailer also features Alice. Kate’s twin has a deep connection with Ryan. She is actually responsible for a major personal loss in Ryan’s life. The season will expand the relationship between the two in the next episodes. Apparently, Alice’s Machiavellian mind is already plotting to use the new Batwoman in her rise to power. However, Ryan is anything but a chess piece.

The official synopsis for Batwoman Season 2 reads:
“In season two of Batwoman, when Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) first discovers Kate Kane’s Batsuit, she has no idea how drastically her life is about to change. A sassy, smart lesbian with a difficult past, Ryan sees the suit as her chance to finally be powerful and no longer a victim as she survives in the tough streets of the city.”
The next episode of Batwoman Season 2 will debut on The CW on Jan. 24.
