Ray Fisher Responds to Warner Bros’ Latest Justice League Rebuttal

Like his super-heroic alter-ego Cyborg, Ray Fisher never lets a challenge go unmet. After the actor described a phone call with DC Films Walter Hamada as asking him to throw director Joss Whedon under the bus to protect Geoff Johns, Warner Bros. responded by claiming that the call simply concerned creative differences. They also stated that Fisher had not met with their third-party investigator over abuse allegations. Now Fisher has fired back, stating that he had his doubts about the person assigned.

The actor screencapped an email from Aug. 29th that he sent to his legal team, stating, “Just got off the line with the investigator. Had to end the interview early before going into detail with him. He’s definitely been put on the case by Warner Bros. Pictures not Warner Media. His findings will go directly and solely to Warner Bros. Pictures legal. He also had another person on the line as a witness we weren’t made aware of. I told him I needed to have a rep on the line as security for myself. He tried to keep me on the line, but I told him I would need to consult my team before proceeding.”

Additionally, in an embedded TikTok video from Aug. 21. Fisher reiterated that he does not care if this case harms his film career. Zack Snyder cast Fisher for Justice League based on his stage work, and it, along with his Batman V Superman cameo, remains his only feature film role.
