New Avatar Sequel Set Photos Showcase the High Camp Bio Lab

Thanks to COVID-19, Disney and 20th Century Studios will begin rolling out the Avatar sequels a year later than previously expected. However, the filmmakers are hoping to hold fans over until then by sharing new behind-the-scenes looks at the upcoming sequels. Producer Jon Landau has just posted a new glimpse at a lab from the films. You can check them out for yourself via Instagram below.

Built on the films’ New Zealand set, the High Camp Bio Lab looks big enough to study all of Pandora’s mysteries. Landau actually shared two photos of the laboratory: an overhead shot, and another image with James Cameron standing by. In the second photo, it looks like an avatar link unit can be seen behind the director.

This latest image comes a little over a week after the official Avatar Twitter account shared the first look at the Crabsuit; which some of the characters will use to explore Pandora’s ocean environments.

Avatar 2 will hit theaters on December 16, 2022.
