Exclusive Preview: Empyre: X-Men #1

As of this week’s Empyre #1, the galaxy is at war! But it’s not the combined armada of the Kree and Skrull Empires that have shaken the Marvel Universe. Let’s just say that Incoming #1’s “beware the trees” should have been all the warning we needed. Regardless, it’s too late now, and the universe’s new conquerors are ready to take root.

Next week, Jonathan Hickman and Tini Howard are co-writing the Empyre: X-Men tie-in miniseries; which will bring the mutant heroes into the conflict. Hickman and Howard will also be joined by artist Matteo Buffagni and cover artist Mike McKone.

Superhero Hype is proud to present an exclusive preview of Empyre: X-Men #1, which finds the reunited X-Corp enjoying a salad lunch. That’s probably not going to be allowed under the planet’s new owners! Things may be calm at the moment, but Angel, M, and Magik are about to be in over their heads.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“Plant people from outer space have come to Earth and, wouldn’t you know it, they just happen to be here when millions of mutants rise as undead creatures hungry for human flesh. The X-Men return to Genosha in a tale so crazy, it’s taking the entire writing crew of the X-Men line to tackle it!”
