Harley Quinn Showrunner Confirms Season 3 Hasn’t Been Ordered Yet

DC Universe’s Harley Quinn animated series is nearly through its second season, and it makes a strong case for renewal. The show has garnered consistently positive reviews since it premiered last November. But surprisingly, a third season isn’t a done deal. At least not yet.

Showrunner Patrick Schumacker recently confirmed via Twitter that DC Universe still hasn’t ordered any more seasons of Harley Quinn. However, this isn’t stopping Schumacker from coming up with new ideas for future episodes. In fact, he seems to have a pretty good idea for how season 3 should get underway. You can check it out for yourself below.

If Harley Quinn still hasn’t been renewed, this likely means that viewers will have to suffer a longer wait time for season 3’s eventual premiere . Granted, the rise of COVID-19 has caused work stoppages throughout the entertainment industry. But animation appears to be one of the few avenues where the usual rules don’t apply. At this point, it seems like it would have been smarter to delay season 2’s premiere so that the writers and animators could have more time to craft the next season.

The next episode of Harley Quinn will debut on Friday, June 5 on DC Universe
